Listen to the songs that helped shape and inspire I Won’t Shut Up. When I wrote I Won’t Shut Up, I originally envisioned it as a musical. In fact, the original manuscript contained song lyrics in almost every chapter.
However, I learned that in order to use song lyrics in a book, you have to obtain rights to the song, and that was expensive, so I removed the song lyrics in editing. This “soundtrack” is my way of re-incorporating these songs into my story.

The Bonus Soundtrack
As I was creating the soundtrack, I realized that if I put all of the songs out there that shaped I Won’t Shut Up, I would have a playlist that was just over 5 hours. I had to narrow it down a bit. The Bonus Soundtrack contains all of the songs of the “Official” soundtrack and a bunch of other songs that either appeared in the original manuscript, were important to me in my writing process, or are reflective of some of the material in the book.
